On April 2, 2010, the Edmunds Law Firm received written notification of a favorable decision made by the Administrative Judge in a security clearance matter. The hearing for this matter was held in Woodland HIlls, California on November 10, 2009. In this case, security concerns pertaining to Guideline J – Criminal Conduct, Guideline H – Drug Involvement, and Guideline E – Personal Conduct, were involved. The evidence showed that the Applicant had gone through a difficult divorce and custody battle, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Domestic Violence, violating a Protective Order and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Attorney Edmunds was able to demonstrate through witness testimony and documentary evidence that the Applicant was trustworthy, and met the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Upon consideration of the evidence presented, the Administrative Judge found that it was clearly consistent with the national interest to grant Applicant’s security clearance.
