On August 9, 2010 the Edmunds Law Firm received written notification of a favorable decision made by the Administrative Judge in a security clearance matter. The hearing for this matter was held in New York City, New York, on June 15, 2010. In this case, there were security concerns pertaining to Guideline F – Financial Considerations. The evidence showed that the Applicant had acquired approximately $34,000 in delinquent debt. Applicant’s wife abruptly lost her job forcing the Applicant’s family to live solely on Applicant’s income. Attorney Edmunds was able to demonstrate through witness testimony and documentary evidence that the Applicant was trustworthy, and met the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Upon consideration of the evidence presented, the Administrative Judge found that it was clearly consistent with the national interest to grant Applicant’s security clearance.
