On July 8, 2010, the Edmunds Law Firm received written notification of a favorable decision made by the Administrative Judge in a security clearance matter. The hearing for this matter was held in Dayton, Ohio on February 22, 2010. In this case, there were security concerns pertaining to Guideline B – Foreign Influences. The evidence showed that the Applicant was born in The People’s Republic of China and had family members currently living there. Applicant also contacted family members in The PRC periodically, which raised several security concerns. Attorney Edmunds was able to demonstrate through witness testimony and documentary evidence that the Applicant was trustworthy, and met the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Upon consideration of the evidence presented, the Administrative Judge found that it was clearly consistent with the national interest to grant Applicant’s security clearance.
