Guideline F – Financial Considerations

On August 12, 2010 the Edmunds Law Firm received notification of a favorable decision made after submitting a written response to the Statement of Reasons issued from ACAF. Applicant’s security clearance was suspended due to security concerns pertaining to Guideline F – Financial Considerations. Applicant’s former spouse had filed for bankruptcy following the foreclosure of the community property that had been awarded to the ex-spouse. The Edmunds Law Firm submitted a written response to the Statement of Reasons as well as supporting evidence to display Applicant’s good faith efforts to resolve the financial concerns. Additionally, The Edmunds Law Firm provided evidence of Applicant’s honesty and trustworthiness, and was able to mitigate those security concerns without going forward with a security clearance hearing.
I received word today that my SCI clearance was reinstated by AFCAF. As you can see below, the security manager claims this is the fastest eligibility update he's ever seen.
